When the Llandudno Town Training Band went to Ruthin to compete at the North Wales Brass Band Championships on Saturday 21st November they were expecting an enjoyable, if slightly nerve-wracking, day out. However, the band also had to overcome several hurdles just to make it to the stage – including a delayed coach, lost music, missing drumsticks and a young player losing a tooth just before going on stage!
These minor mishaps didn’t affect the band’s playing, however, and they went on to win 1st prize in their section.
