This was followed by a concert on the band stand on Llandudno Promenade with the bands joining together to form a massed band of 80 players.
On Saturday 21st May 2015 the band were involved in a celebration of the music of J.S.Bach with classical music charity Ensemble Cymru. They lent us one of their trumpeters, Gwyn Owen, for the morning and he shared some tips with us before joining us in a performance of Bach’s ‘Air from the Peasant Cantata’. It was a brilliant experience and the band really enjoyed themselves.
On Sunday 23rd November 2014 the band competed at the North Wales Brass Band Championships at Ysgol Brynhyfryd, Ruthin. The band won the Rushworths Trophy for 2nd place and principal cornet Molly Stubbs-Davies won the cup for best soloist. The band had a great day out and enjoyed every minute.
On Tuesday 1st July at Ysgol John Bright, Llandudno the Training Band performed at the school’s summer concert. The band played brilliantly and were well received by the audience.
