2024 Bandstand Season Ends

The band’s 2024 season of Summer Concerts on the promenade bandstand has now ended and once again audiences at the well-attended concerts have generously showed their appreciation with record donations collected. A big thank you to everyone who has supported the band in this way. This much-needed income will help to pay for the band’s significant running costs (insurance, new instruments and repairs, music, uniforms etc.).

Summer concerts ‘on the prom’ have been an annual tradition for the band ever since it was formed in 1910. To entertain visitors to the town and local residents, players (who are all entirely unpaid) commit to perform twice a week for 14 weeks. Llandudno could possibly be the last seaside resort in the country whose resident brass band regularly performs throughout the summer months in this way.
